|Bio||Having grown up in up in Wokingham Without I have a keen interest in local issues and facilities. |
I am passionate about ensuring Crowthorne continues to be a great place to live for all age groups.
I have been a Parish Councillor for 20 years. During this time I have been instrumental in improving and upgrading the Memorial Hall and following the demise of The Working Mans Club, transforming it into an additional hall for the community.
At Pinewood I have worked hard to not only promote the clubs but also to improve the open spaces for public use, which has included providing new play parks, a picnic area, woodland trails, a Community Orchard, and the resurfacing of the car park.
I have and will continue to support the Parish Council’s efforts to minimise the negative impact that housing developments are having on our community.
My professional background has been in Project Management, Risk Management, and Business Continuity Planning.
When I am not spending time with my 6 grandchildren I enjoy walking, travel and helping in the Pinewood Community Orchard, where we have planted local heritage fruit trees. I have a strong interest in local history and initiated the Wokingham Without Heritage Group, which will soon be publishing a booklet on the History of Pinewood Sanatorium.
