Wokingham Town Council is organising a special event to celebrate the Lunar New Year, with Chinese music, dancing and more.
Join in the fun at this free event on Sunday 18 February in Market Place from 11am to 3pm. Not to be missed, the traditional lion dance will be performed at 12noon and 2pm.
The dance is one of the most important traditions at Chinese New Year and in Chinese culture the lion symbolises power, wisdom, and superiority.
Enjoy Chinese music, performances, arts and crafts and delicious Asian street food.
Denmark Street will be closed all day to allow for the celebrations, so please factor this into your travel plans.
