Wokingham Borough News|

Night-time working hours on a temporary basis have been granted by the Local Planning Authority. All enabling works associated with the new Network rail bridge have been completed, also the full closure of the Network rail line has been secured from Saturday 01st to Tuesday (06:00) 04th May. This closure is a major milestone in the Eastern Gateway project and will allow us to carry-out the onsite welding and install of the bridge beams over the Network rail line, as per location map below.

The welding and lifting into position of the bridge beams is planned between 8pm and 6am on Saturday 01st to Tuesday (06:00) 04th May 2021.

The noise levels generated by these works are expected to be low to medium.

Daily public safety will remain a priority, as will access to the Emergency Services.

These works are part of the wider South Wokingham Distributor Road scheme (Eastern Gateway).
