Contractors for Wokingham Borough Council are due to commence works on Byway 28 in Wokingham Without on Monday 5t October, on the section from the corner of Honey Hill to the made section of Hatch Ride, heading towards Heathlands Road (marked with yellow lines on the map below)
The works taking place are to improve the current condition of the Byway. Plans include infilling the large rutted areas, removing the mound at the junction of Nine Mile Ride and surfacing the lane with compacted limestone scalpings.
The byway will remain open for users while works are in progress. A banksman will be on site to ensure that users are safe as they pass through the work site. Signage will be in place at the entrances to the sections of byways warning that works are being undertaken.
