One in three people who are infected with Covid-19 won’t have any symptoms, meaning they’ll spread it to others without realising.
As restrictions continue to ease and we spend more time with our loved ones, it’s very important that we get into the habit of regular rapid Covid-19 testing. You should do this even if you’ve had your Covid-19 vaccine.
The test used is called a lateral flow test. It only takes a few minutes to complete and delivers results within 30 to 45 minutes.
We have been advised that take-up of these tests amongst Wokingham Without residents is a little lower than other areas of the borough. So, we’d really appreciate your help in raising awareness of the following ways to access free tests:
- Visit one of the test centres
- Collect home test kits from a test centre, a local PCR test site, or a local pharmacy
- Through workplace or school testing schemes
- Order home test kits for delivery from Gov.uk
